This isn't a rubber-duck race. These are LIVE DUCKS. 😂 Pick your racer, take your lane, learn the safe hold from our crew and see whose duck makes it out of the pond first. It's fast, ridiculous, ridiculously fun to watch, and just as much fun for the adults as it is for the kids.
How a race works
- Up to four ducks race in four lanes.
- Each guest chooses an available duck.
- Our staff carry the duck to the starting area and teach the safe hold.
- At GO, the racers release their ducks.
- The FIRST DUCK OUT OF THE POND WINS.
Good to know
- All ages may participate, with parent/guardian assistance when needed.
- Look Pretty Play Dirty staff have the final say on safe participation.
- There is no gambling — the prize is generally bragging rights.
- Repeat races are possible throughout the event.
- Up to 7 hours of operation includes at least 2–3 animal welfare breaks, and more as needed.
Site requirements
- LEVEL GROUND IS REQUIRED — the site must be genuinely level and flat. “Pretty flat” does not constitute site approval.
- Minimum total setup area: 30 feet long x 20 feet wide.
- Physical duck-racing pond: 20 feet long x 10 feet wide x 10 inches deep.
- Approximately 1,500 gallons of water.
- Setup and filling normally take place the day before; a hose fill may take approximately 3–4 hours.
- A fire company or water truck fill may be considered.
- Site photographs are required with your request; a site map is welcome.
- Look Pretty Play Dirty has final site-suitability approval.
Our racing ducks work in rotation with regular welfare breaks. Duck participation depends on availability, health, temperament, weather and welfare, and our staff may pause or end racing at any time for the ducks' wellbeing. Specific ducks are never guaranteed.
